Raj began his career in 1989 as an engineer for Lion and from there he progressed to technical roles with a number of major operators including Gala Bingo, Paymaster, Crown Leisure, Leisure Link and First Leisure before going on to refurbish machines for UDC. Raj saw first-hand all the faults, damage, knocks and scrapes that amusement equipment suffered from and using his expertise and experience developed simple solutions that would protect the amusement machines against wear and tear, significantly extending its life. In 2003 Raj established Sonica Services and since that time the company’s reputation has gone from strength to strength with an impressive client base including Bowlplex, Namco, HB Leisure at Alton Towers, Electric Palace, Leisure Link, Rowans Bowl alongside many others.
